2009 Dundee Canadian
 Masters Curling Championship

On behalf of Curl Saskatoon, I am pleased to welcome you to the 2009 Dundee Canadian Open Masters Championship.

Founded in 1990, Curl Saskatoon coordinates the promotion of all levels of curling in the City of Saskatoon.  We strive to keep this sport both fun and accessible at the local level through financial support for young curlers, junior development leagues, and the Saskatoon City Menís and Womenís Bonspiels.  Curl Saskatoon has also hosted a number of competitive national events including, most recently, the 2004 Brier.

I would like to thank the organizing committee, especially co-chairs Warren Klassen and Vern Affeldt, for their hard work and dedication in bringing this event to Saskatoon.  It is our hope that high calibre events like this serve to further promote the sport of curling throughout the city.

Congratulations to all participants in qualifying for this event and best of luck in the competition.

Saskatchewan Curling Association
Presidential Message

On behalf of the Board of Directors and Staff of the SCA, it gives me a great deal of pleasure to bring greetings to the teams, the fans, the volunteers, the officials, the sponsors, and the organizers of the Canadian Masterís Championships.

The SCA is pleased and proud that Saskatchewan, and Saskatoon in particular is able to host such a prestigious event.

I know that everyone will be happy with the hospitality extended by the people of Saskatoon. I know that everyone will also be happy with the expertise and professionalism with which the competitions are run. I am also sure everyone will be happy with the first class facilities the city of Saskatoon and its curling community have to showcase. (Boy, oh boy, happiness is sure going to abound here!)

On that note, I would like to congratulate Saskatoon for the great event to come.

To the curlers, I would like to offer congratulations for winning the respective championships that got you here. As well, I congratulate in advance, the teams that are competitively successful here.

However, I am sure all players will succeed in renewing friendships, and forming new ones. All teams will succeed in displaying great curling skill and savvy (Masters after all!), and exemplary sportsmanship.  Have a great time.

 Good Luck and Good Curling!
