Jan 26) Jan Betker defeated Sherry Anderson, 6-4 in Sunday's
Championship Final of the Provincial Scott Tournament of Hearts in
Balgonie to make a return appearance to the Canadian Scott
Tournament of Hearts - the first since the death of Sandra Schmirler.
Betker advanced to the final with a 6-4 win in the semi-final
against Patty Rocheleau. Anderson advanced with a bye to the final
finishing in first place in the round-robin. It's the third
Provincial final that Anderson lost in the last four years.
Anderson finished the round-robin
with a 6-1 followed by Patty Rocheleau and Jan Betker at 5-2.
