Ridgway Wins Provincial Title

Anderson won a hard fought 7-6 win over Patty Rocheleau in the semi-final Saturday night. Anderson made a great double hit for two and the win after Rocheleau staged a come-back from a three-point deficit after 5 ends. 

10th end of the semi-final against Patty  Rocheleau before Sherry Anderson throws  the double with two biters at back of the house.	Anderson makes the double to count 2 and  a 7-6 win over Rocheleau in the semi-final.

Michelle Ridgway advances to Final Sunday  finishing in first place

Cathy Trowell fnished in 4th place with a 4-3 record, followed by Sue Altman and June Campbell at 3-4. Kristy Lewis was 2-5 and Barb Griffin 1-6.

Patty Rocheleau was named the winner of the Marj Mitchell Award at the Closing Ceremonies.  The Award is voted by players and is based on competitiveness and sportsmanship.

The Championship Final was webcast live on saskcurl.com for the first time.

Webcast of Provincial SaskPower Scott Tournament of Hearts Final

The 2001 Provincial Women's Curling Championship is an 8 team round-robin with the top 3 advancing to the playoffs.  The winner will advance to the Canadian Championship - the Scott Tournament of Hearts, February 17-25 in Sudbury, Ontario.
